The Julia Creek Dirt n Dust Festival joins forces with the Julia Creek Turf Club, to present the Multicom Resources Artesian Express Race Day, a fantastic day of outback country racing for visitors to the region who can rub shoulders with locals and visitors alike. Horses from all around the North West will be competing at one of the richest race meetings in the North West Queensland in 2026.

Yes we are a family friendly race course with playground and fashion categories to suit the whole family. Our VIP ticketed marquee areas are 18+ only.
Gates open at 12 noon unless advised with a courtesy bus transporting race goers from all main accommodation points in town. Check our socials for up to date information.
No our race days are bar facilities with very affordable drinks.
The Julia Creek Turf Club is a small race club situated in the McKinlay Shire, in the remote and rural town of Julia Creek in Far North Western Queensland.
The Julia Creek Turf Club committee are always keen to welcome new members (and it is reasonably priced as well) so contact us if would like a membership application.
